Onur Air launched the scheduled domestic flights on 9 December 2003 in an attempt to ensure that airline transportation is the preferred way of travel by everyone in Turkey with the slogan “Fly Turkey Fly” and the philosophy of “Everyone will fly on a plane once in lifetime”.
In principle, Onur Air aims at operating on flight destinations having a certain capacity, and plans to grow by increasing the time period at and number of flights to such destinations.
Onur Air’s target is to provide a satisfactory flight organization with its schedule evenly scattered throughout all operating days. The company has adopted a safe travel principle without any restrictions on maintenance of its aircrafts and quality of the flight teams thanks to its service structure based on flight safety. On the other hand, Onur Air keeps its costs down to the extend that everyone can enjoy a safe journey thanks to its in-flight structure which meets the basic needs and dining requests as well as the required expectations of passengers, and is free of unnecessary elements which normally increase expenses.
Onur Air operates flights to 11 domestic destinations from İstanbul Atatürk Airport to Adana, Antalya, Diyarbakır, Elazığ, Gaziantep, İzmir, Kayseri, Malatya, Samsun, Şanlıurfa, Trabzon and 8 international destinations to Amsterdam, Berlin, Dusseldorf, Erbil, Lefkosa, Nalchik, Odesa and Paris.
Onur Air has carried 16 million passengers since 2011 and became the first private carrier in terms of passenger numbers
Witinin the framework of a Code Share Agreement concluded between Onur Air and Zagrosjet , all Istanbul-Erbil-Istanbul flights and Ankara-Erbil-Ankara flights are commonly operated and accordingly through all sales channels , Onur Air tickets are sold with Onur Air code and flight numbers.
As the Operating Carrier , Zagrosjet’s conditions of carriage is valid on the Code Share Flights.
The flights are currently operated by Onur Air aircrafts wet leased to Zagrosjet .
